Ashley Enea
Studio Director
A nationally recognized, award winning dancer and choreographer, Ashley Enea earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in performing arts with an emphasis in dance graduating with honors from Saint Mary's College of California. At the age of thirteen, Ashley joined her first competitive dance team and was soon thrust into the limelight when she won a spot in the Fatima Robinson, (choreographer for Michael Jackson and the Backstreet Boys,) Learn How to Dance home video. Over the past decade, she has studied ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, hip-hop and cheerleading with the most prestigious choreographers on the West Coast. Ashley has performed on stage with Davy Jones, (The Monkees,) was a featured dancer at the opening of The Palms Resort in Las Vegas, the opening ceremony of Disney's California Adventure and the Stars at Sea show for Princess Cruise Lines. Ashley has been teaching her dance curriculum at respected dance academies and studios in the Bay Area for the past eighteen years. Her passion for teaching has made her one of the studio's most sought after instructors. She loves her student's excitement and enthusiasm about coming to class and thrives on spreading the joy of dance through a safe environment, positive reinforcement, and most of all patience!
Madison Erwin
Pre-Dance, Ballet, Jazz , Lyrical, Hip Hop & Cheer
Born and raised in Reno, Nevada, Madison Erwin spent most of her afternoons training at Heart & Sole Dance Academy. She danced competitively for 11 years and trained in various styles including ballet, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, and hip-hop. She is now attending Saint Mary’s College of California where she is pursuing degrees in Accounting, Economics and Dance. She plans to graduate in 2027. Additionally, she is a Saint Mary’s Spirit Team member where she is growing in her pom experience. She has always had a strong passion for dance and is excited to share her creativity with young dancers. We welcome Madison to her first year with East Bay Dance Company!
Amelia Thomason
Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Lyrical, Acro / Tumbling: Assistant Studio Director
Amelia Thomason's passion for dance began at just 6 years old when she took her first recreational dance class. A few years later, she joined the competition team at a local Bay Area studio, where she trained and competed for 11 years, developing a strong foundation in both technique and performance. During high school, Amelia was a dedicated member of her school's dance team for all four years and proudly served as captain during her senior year. After graduating in 2023, Amelia continued pursuing her passion by attending UC Berkeley, where she is earning degree in Dance . She is also a proud member of the Cal Berkeley Dance Team, allowing her to continue performing while expanding her artistic and leadership skills.Having completed her competitive dance career, Amelia has found a true passion for teaching and choreography. She loves inspiring young dancers to grow in both confidence and technique while fostering a positive and encouraging classroom environment. Amelia is excited to share her knowledge, creativity, and enthusiasm with the dancers of East Bay Dance Company and looks forward to helping them reach their full potential.
